Retired civil servant · Putrajaya
I came in with a set of questions I had been carrying for about two years — not sure what I was entitled to or where to begin. The counsel was patient, did not rush the session, and gave me a written note at the end that I could actually refer back to. I appreciated that no promises were made, just a clear account of where things stood.

My pension had been calculated on the wrong service period — three years were missing. I had tried to sort this out myself for almost a year with no progress. Warisan Advocate took it on, verified the records, and submitted a proper recalculation request. The process took about seven months in total. It is not fast, and they were upfront about that, which I preferred to false optimism. The correction was eventually made.

Spouse of retired officer · Cyberjaya
My husband passed away in January and I was advised to apply for the survivor pension. I was not in a state to manage a lot of paperwork at that point. Kavitha from the team called me to explain what would be needed before asking for anything. The document list was clear, and they worked around when I was available. I am grateful for the way it was handled.

I came in because I was not sure whether to challenge a pension decision. After the consultation, I had a much clearer sense of what was realistic and what was not. The written note was useful because my daughter, who is overseas, was able to read through the summary without having to ask me to repeat everything. A practical detail, but it mattered.

Former JPA officer · Putrajaya
The recalculation request took longer than I hoped — about nine months from submission to decision — but the team kept me informed throughout. I never had to chase for an update. The final outcome adjusted my monthly pension figure correctly. I had one query along the way that was answered the same day by email.

Retired bank manager · Sepang
I went in expecting legal language I would not follow. It was not like that. The explanation was plain, structured, and the counsel answered my follow-up questions without making me feel as though I was taking up too much time. The fee was stated clearly before we started. I came away knowing what my options were, which was all I needed at that stage.

How Certain Matters Were Resolved
These accounts describe the shape of real engagements — the presenting issue, the work involved, and what was achieved. Identifying details have been modified for privacy.
A retired public servant contacted us after noticing that her monthly pension payment did not reflect the full length of her service. Her personnel record showed 28 years; her pension calculation was based on 24 years. She had raised this with the relevant department twice without result.
We gathered appointment letters, service history records, and relevant correspondence from the client. A formal recalculation request was prepared identifying the precise discrepancy with reference to the governing regulations, and submitted with the supporting documentation to the appropriate authority.
The authority confirmed a recalculation based on the correct 28-year service period eight months after submission. A revised pension payment followed. The process was slow; the outcome was correct. The client received a written update at each stage and was not required to attend any meetings in person.
Duration: approx. 8 months from engagement to decision
A widow contacted us three weeks after her husband's passing. She knew she was entitled to a survivor pension but had received conflicting information about which documents were required and how to file. She was not in a position to attend multiple offices or manage a complex document-gathering process on her own.
We met with her at a time that suited her family. We provided an advance document list so she could gather what was needed without being asked for items she had not expected. The claim was prepared in full, including the supporting documentation, and filed on her behalf. We attended to the follow-up correspondence directly.
The survivor pension claim was approved and payments commenced approximately five months from the date of the initial filing. The family was not required to follow up with the authority themselves at any point during the process.
Duration: approx. 5 months from filing to payment commencement
